We had a great start to the 2014 wedding season at Kate and Bryan's wedding. It was a beautiful 40+ degree day in February! We started the day at Kate's family home getting images of her beautiful dress, ring and bejeweled bouquet. We have never seen a bouquet with so much bling!
The ceremony took place at Lee Congregational Church. Kate's son was the ring bearer. He didn't want to walk down the aisle, so he got the privilege of riding in his grandfather's arms while walking his mom down the aisle. Of course, once the ceremony began, the four and a half year old ring bearer was more concerned about his video game than the important event that was unfolding behind him. The bride and groom surprised their parents by collecting sand from the two beaches where their parents used to date. The couple then added the sand from their favorite beach in the conclusion of the sand ceremony.
The guests made their way back to the bride's family home for the reception. The father and daughter dance took place while watching old videos and pictures of Kate and her dad on the TV behind them. You can see in one of the pictures below that Kate and her dad are almost in the same position dancing as they were when they were at the dance recital many years ago. Bryan and his mom also danced to a slideshow of family pictures which ended with a "I love you Mom" message across the screen. There were several, wonderful toasts given by Kate's father, sister and Bryan's brothers. We finished off the night by playing with sparklers. It took a few attempts to get the word "Love" to be legible, but we finally got it!
Kate & Bryan, we wish you a long life of happiness and love that never ends and continues to grow with each passing day! <3
