This was our first time photographing a wedding in Connecticut. Sarah and I drove down a day early to spend some time in lovely Mystic, CT. We had been there a few years ago for a long weekend in March, so it was nice to see the town in the summer with all of the shops and other businesses open. The day of the wedding started at the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church. We captured Cate and her bridesmaids getting ready, while David and his groomsmen relaxed with a game of foosball.
Cate and David's reception was a good old-fashioned lobster bake. Once the ceremony was over, the wedding party and family members left the sanctuary to have formal pictures taken outside of the church. The rest of the guests stayed in the sanctuary and enjoyed a comical lobster eating instructional video which was created by the matron of honor's father. After we captured all of the family pictures and a few images of the entire guest list, we took the wedding party to an amazing park called Wickham Park. I really wish that this park was located closer to home! It is a beautiful location for portraits!!! Perhaps the best part about the park is that they have a little shop that sells ice cream! Oh wait, the best part was that one of the bridesmaids surprised us and bought us an ice cream! I wish I had an ice cream every time we did the formal wedding party pictures!
Cate and David started off the reception with their first dance. The guests had a great time mingling with one another while the kids enjoyed the photo booth that a guest had created for the big day. Please take a look at all of the pictures below and don't forget to leave a comment!

This flower girl was making sure that the ring bearer wasn't going anywhere but forward! She held onto him the whole way down the aisle!
Here she comes David!
Now that is what you call group participation!!!

I think Cate is keeping an eye on someone who wants to steal her lobster!
