Our first wedding at the Lake Shore Village Resort was one for the record books! It was a spectacular June day in New Hampshire! Danielle and Jeff could not have asked for better weather for their wedding. We started the day with a few candid shots before setting up the First Look session with the very excited bride and groom. We loved seeing the joy in Danielle and Jeff's eyes as they saw each other for the first time on their big day. Danielle surprised Jeff with an unopened letter that he had written to her in 2011. Jeff was serving in Afghanistan at the time when he wrote the letter. Danielle had saved it to open on their wedding day. I'm a pretty emotional guy and this would only be the first time that I had to hold back tears as I photographed them reading the letter together.
Once we finished photographing the wedding party, it was time for the beach ceremony to begin. The minister performed a lovely ceremony that included music played on a guitar for the processional and a beautiful song sung by one of the wedding guests. My favorite part of the ceremony was the exchanging of the rings. This would be the second time during the day that I had to hold back tears. Jeff's father passed away when he was just eight years old. The minister announced to the wedding guests that the ring that Jeff would be wearing was the same ring that his father wore. They then did something that we had never seen at a wedding. The rings were stored in a wooden box. The box was passed around to every person in attendance so that they could touch the rings, pray over them and give them a special blessing for Danielle and Jeff.
This was no ordinary wedding! The day included Yogi the Bear, a snake, sparklers and breakdancing. Okay, so Yogi the Bear was not there, but there was a giant black dog named Yogi! That is just a few of the unique things that made this wedding SO MUCH fun! Be sure to scroll through all of the images below and leave a comment at the bottom!

Their eyes meet for the first time on their special day!
Danielle had a difficult time getting the words out as she explained to Jeff that she had saved this letter to read it together on their wedding day.
Love, love, love this reaction from Jeff!
The wedding party was very happy to see Danielle and Jeff together for the first time!
Man's best friend. Sorry Yogi, I think that Danielle has the title of Jeff's best friend!
Jeff's reaction to seeing his bride walking to him during the ceremony.
Danielle's mom blessing the wedding rings.
I was taking pictures of the reception under the tent when my wife yelled for me to run outside to grab a picture. Don't let this picture fool you. Jeff was only brave for about a half a second after this picture was taken. He quickly got out of the way of this slithering wedding crasher!
The cake never stood a chance against these two and that knife!
Ummm, yeah, you have a little something...right there!
College friends for life!
The 1980's called. They are VERY proud of all the great breakdancing at this wedding!
Even this little guy did his best to get in on the breakdancing action!
Fun with sparklers!!!
