Our first wedding at the York Harbor Inn was one to remember. We had the privilege of photographing our friends' beautiful wedding day! Prior to going full-time with Matthew Yeaton Photography, I worked at my "day job" with Rachel and Mark for the better part of nine years. We had so much fun with the happy couple and enjoyed seeing other friends/former co-workers. It had started to sprinkle lightly on our drive to York Harbor. We were nervous that the skies would open up with more rain, but the sprinkles ended and everything stayed dry. The lovely outdoor ceremony was held in the Hartley Mason Reservation across the street from the York Harbor Inn.
We were able to capture some beautiful pictures in the park after the ceremony. The reception had a great mixture of dancing, laughing, catching up and delicious food...oh and a wardrobe malfunction of wedding proportions! Their wedding cake was perhaps one of the most amazing displays of cake design that we've ever seen! We finished the day by taking Rachel and Mark to a local stone church after the reception had ended. Rachel had wanted to get a few pictures in front of this particular church. We were thrilled to be able to get several shots in front of this church that I have admired for a long time. I love the details in the architecture and it made the perfect backdrop for wedding images! Please take a moment to view the images below and leave a comment at the end!
Thank you to all of the other vendors who made Rachel and Mark's day so wonderful!
Venue: York Harbor Inn
Flowers: Flower Kiosk
Cake: Let Them Eat Cake
This cake was amazing! The "sand" was brown sugar and all of the sea shells were made out of frosting!
Oh no she didn't!!!
I think Rachel was a bit frightened of the cake retaliation!
Um, excuse me, but you have something in your hair!!!
Thankfully this happened at the very end of the day. Do you see it? The right strap on Rachel's dress completely tore away from the back of the dress. We had a few pins in our mini-emergency kit that helped keep it together somewhat for the rest of the day.
Rachel & Mark,
Thank you so much for not only being great friends but also for letting us be such a big part of your BIG day! We had so much fun at your wedding and wish you both nothing but the best! May God bless your marriage Forever & Always!
Lots of love,
Matt & Sarah
